the digitrip 3000 is a microprocessor based protective relay providing
reliable 3 phase and ground overcurrent protection for all voltage levels.
it can be used for any application where instantaneous and/or time overcurrent
protection is required. it is most commonly used as primary feeder circuit
protection.
the digitrip 3000 has been designed for a wide range of protection
applications for both ansi and iec markets. it contains user selective curves
including moderately inverse, very inverse and extremely inverse. in addition,
thermal curves it, i2t, i4t and flat characteristics may be chosen. its
true rms current sensing provides better protection and coordination.
the digitrip 3000 is easy to set and easy to use. a user friendly front
panel with locking security cover simplifies the input of all 16 settings
and read out of metered values, fault trip targets and logs. it can provide
all data either locally or remotely.
the digitrip 3000 offers an unique user test routine for phase and ground
protection functions. no additional test equipment is necessary and the relay
can be tested in either a trip or non-trip mode.
the digitrip 3000 relay includes an incom communication port and can be
readily connected to a communication system such as cutler-hammer's
impacc system.
all the features and functions of the digitrip 3000 overcurrent relay
makes it an economical choice for all your protection needs.

the digitrip-3000 drawout enables the device to be removed from the gear, using a "quick disconnect" type strategy. the digitrip 3000 drawout relay maintains the same electrical and operating specifications as the standard digitrip 3000.

the digitrip-3000 overcurrent relay with optional dual source power supply provides complete three phase and ground protection for ac control power applications. it is a completely self-contained unit that provides both ac voltage and current power for operation. the unit fits into the iq cutout and the current connections are the same as the standard dt-3000 relay. the voltage connection has been relocated from the side of the unit to the back of the unit.
the transition from voltage power to current power is smooth with no time delay.

we are pleased to announce the release of the digitrip3000 overcurrent protective relay. the digitrip 3000 overcurrent relay is a direct replacement for the digitrip mv trip unit
the digitrip 3000 provides the same connections and all the functionality of the digitrip mv with the following additional capabilities:
- ansi inverse time overcurrent curves
- moderately inverse (c0-7)
- very inverse (c0-9)
- extremely inverse (c0-11)
- iec inverse time overcurrent curves
- iec-a (inverse)
- iec-b (very inverse)
- iec-c (extremely inverse)
- iec-d (definite time)
- independent curve selection for phase and ground
- ct ratio settings from front panel instead of dip switch selection
- expanded ct settings from front panel instead of dip switch selection
- independent ground ct ratio setting with range of 5/5 to 5000/5.
- ability to change settings while the breaker is closed and carrying load.
- user selective trip output configuration for either instantaneous/time overcurrent or phase/ground.
note that the digitrip 3000 can be configured as a digitrip mv as shown in app note 1.
