overview

the netpower setpoint and trip curve client provides access to meter and protective relay settings, and if these devices allow remote configuration, the software enable sthese devices to be configured on-line. for devices not equipped for remote configuration, the device settings are displayed, but editing is disallowed. meter and protective relay settings can be saved and downloaded to other devices with similar settings.

the trip curve display feature allows for the display of an unlimited number of protective relay coordination curves to verify the system is properly coordinated. protection curves can be dragged and dropped onto the graphical screen for the best coordination fit for the device.

this powernet client enables the to:

  • view setpoint data for each device connected to a deviceserver.
  • change setpoint data for a device.
  • view the trip curve for a device via a log-log coordination curve plotted on screen for both trip units and motor protective relays with the click of a button.
  • online modification of trip curve pickups and time delays; instant verification of coordination with an updated trip curve.
  • automatic scale adjustment based on device pickup level.
  • addition or removal of trip curves directly from the display screen.
  • color-coded curves tied to the device description for added clarity.

setpoints are parameters that either describe the condition of a device or control how it operates. certain setpoints are preset, others are set via dipswitches on the device, and some are downloadable from powernet. the type of information varies depending on device type. powernet's setpoint and trip curve client gives you another window to the devices installed in your facility.
