the netlink translates incom fsk to standard ethernet tcp/ip mesages or to modbus rtu. additionally, the product acts as a data logger to store event and trend information.
the ethernet netlink allows connection of 200 cutler-hammer powernet meters and protective relays to an ethernet network. the netlink is a server for cutler-hammer powernet device information to cutler-hammer powernet software clients on local or enterprise networks. configuration can be done remotely and is stored in non-volatile memory. the netlink can be applied on dedicated or shared facility ethernet networks.
the ethernet netlink comes with a 10 base-t port for communications at 10 megabaud on any ethernet network supporting tcp/ip packets. it is typically located at the substation or equipment building level and serves as a distributed data logger for attached cutler-hammer powernet devices.
the modbus netlink converts data from as many as 200 cutler-hammer powernet meters and protective relays into modbus rtu registers. configuration can be done remotely and is stored in non-volatile memory. the modbus netlink uses a register mapping technique to map up to 10,000 read registers for real-time data and read/write registers for control commands for 200 devices.
