impacc is cutler-hammer's system of electrical metering and protection devices and the software used to monitor and control those devices.
to permit impacc devices to be integrated into industrial communications, distributed control systems, or to simply bring remotely located networks of impacc devices back to a single pc, the impacc-ethernet gateway supports dynamic data exchange over an ethernet network. (click here for example configuration) by running netdde any dde capable software, such as cutler-hammer's enhanced graphics, can read and control impacc devices over an existing ethernet network.
the impacc-ethernet gateway permits your system to:
- receive data from impacc devices. for example, one might request the value of the
phase a current from an iq analyzer.
- send commands to impacc devices. for example, one might send a command to close
a breaker, or start a motor.
dde and netdde communications is possible with this gateway hardware software configuration and also with the standard series iii software package. for further information on series iii check out the series iii product sheet.
